Cricut + Baby shower invites

Posted on: June 22, 2010

For my 30th birthday/mother’s day/1 year wedding anniversary present, my husband ordered the mack-daddy of all paper-crafting cutting machines – the Cricut Expression.

I had so much fun playing with it the day it came!  I spent the entire day feeding paper through that machine – so much so that I burned out one of the cutting blades.
One of my girlfriends came over later that night, and we crafted ’til our hearts were content.  By the end of the day, I’d made 15 of these invitations for my BFF’s baby shower:
I don’t know if you can tell, but the background was stamped with a flower image using VersaMark.  On the inside, I used a generic “Invitation” stamp that announced the date/time/etc., and I used the safety pin image from the SU Mini Mates set.  The two stamps on the front were also genners from Michaels (I think).  But the card turned out pretty cute, don’tcha think?
